OneLink, a OneTeam Technology transportation solution, has been selected as the exclusive Automated Fare Collection System (AFC) for the eFrancisco Motor Corporation Inc. (eFMC).

eFMC, known locally in the Philippines as “King of the Road”, has been manufacturing Jeepneys for almost 8 decades. It’s the oldest and largest in the business, with a reputation for also being the best.

eFMC plans to install the OneLink AFC system in its new electric Jeepneys. This supports the Philippines Government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), which mandates lower emissions and a range of other improvements to public transport. See https://ltfrb.gov.ph/puv-modernization-program/ for more details.

Phil Martin, OneTeam Group CEO, remarked, “The population of the Philippines is over 110 million and it’s transforming at speed, especially in the transportation sector, and the digital payments space. That’s why we’re here, and we’re proud to be delivering part of this digital revolution with eFMC”.

OneLink includes hardware terminals that are installed in each vehicle, and these connect securely to OneLink’s central cloud platform. The central platform delivers financial tracking and has a roadmap that includes cutting edge fleet management capabilities.

The system offers passengers contactless and cashless payments, which can be made by scanning a QR code, by tapping either a credit/debit card or a mobile phone.

It means a more convenient and faster journey for passengers and drivers. For the transport operator, the system means more efficient and accurate record keeping.
